Scented with: Fir Needle and Peppermint Essential Oil
Longlasting - Skinloving - Ecofriendly
Sometimes, even after over 7 years of experience in soapmaking, mistakes happen!
During the initial making of this soap with the cold process method, the soap developed a few white spots, likely due to imperfect mixing.
To ensure optimal performance and a safe cleansing experience, I have carefully rebatched the soap, allowing the oils to fully integrate. This rebatch process created a new look with a unique, rustic appearance. While rebatching requires additional care and time, it makes sure that you get a high-quality soap that offers a gentle, nourishing cleanse with a wonderful creamy lather.
I put the soap on special to reflect on the mishap.
Disclaimer:
This soap is for cleansing. Some ingredients might have reported benefits on their own, but how those hold up in soap (because of the saponification process) is unclear. We can't claim any effects beyond cleansing. As with any new product, we recommend patch testing this soap on a small area before full use and discontinue if any irritation occurs.
For this soap we used Neem Oil at 15%.

Properties of oils / materials used:
Tallow | Provides excellent hardness to soap for long-lasting bars. Produces a creamy lather with good cleansing properties. Contains skin-friendly vitamins A, D, E, and K. Natural antioxidants help protect the skin. All our tallow originates from pasture-raised beef and sheep in the Marlborough Sounds, sourced directly from farms and rendered by us to ensure the best quality. |
Coconut | Creates a bubbly and effective cleansing lather. Adds firmness to soap bars for durability. Contains natural antioxidants to provide some skin protection. |
Olive | Offers gentle cleansing with a soft and luxurious lather. High oleic acid content makes it superb for nourishing the skin. Rich in vitamin E, a potent antioxidant for skin protection. |
Rice Bran | Balances cleansing and nourishing properties. Provides a creamy lather for a pampering bathing experience. Contains vitamin E (tocopherols) and gamma-oryzanol, natural antioxidants for skin health. |
Castor | Attracts moisture to the skin, ensuring hydration. Enhances lather and bubbles for a satisfying wash. Contains vitamin E and essential fatty acids for some skin nourishment. |
Neem Oil Virgin Organic | (description from our suppliers webpage)."Apart from that Neem oil is an amazing product as an insect repellant/pesticide and fertilizer it also has amazing qualities beneficial to the skin. Neem Oil is used in skin care because it’s loaded with nutrients. Neem contains extraordinarily high levels of antioxidants that help to protect the skin from environmental damage. Neem also contains carotenoids (similar to carotene) which provide high antioxidant compounds that help defend the skin against age-promoting free radicals. Neem Oil is ideal for acne-prone skin because it can help to soothe irritation and inflammation, clear up pimples and remove bacteria from the surface of the skin that can cause more break-outs. The high fatty-acid content in Neem Oil is said to prevent and treat scars from acne and is non-comedogenic. Its leaves are also an excellent exfoliant that can be used in a facial masque to pull out impurities and tighten pores. Since Neem is especially high in important fatty acids and vitamin E and can quickly penetrate outer layers of skin, it is extremely effective in healing dry and damaged skin. Its strong antiseptic properties will also help to keep bacteria and secondary skin infections at bay. Neem oil is a safe way to remove head lice. Other chemical products to remove lice can lead to several undesired effects on the scalp. Leave the neem oil overnight and then comb with a nit comb to remove lice. Neem oil does not have any adverse effects and there has been no allergic reaction to neem. " |
Citric acid | in your soap serves a dual purpose. It helps your soap perform well in hard water by preventing mineral build up, ensuring a rich lather. Additionally, it acts as a natural preservative, extending the soap's shelf life for a longer-lasting product you'll enjoy. |
Sugar | Added to soap recipes to increase lather and bubbles. Acts as a natural humectant, attracting moisture to the skin. |
