Whipped Kawakawa Tallow + Castor OIl Butter

A Traditional Skin Conditioner, handcrafted in the Marlborough Sounds using a blend of organically farmed tallow and certified organic castor oil.

This formula is unfragranced, containing no essential oils or perfumes, making it an ideal choice for extra sensitive skin. The Kawakawa infusion gives the butter a neutral, earthy aroma.

Made using traditional methods to deliver deep moisture, this product starts with grass-fed tallow, sourced from a local farmer who uses organic farming methods. This nutrient-rich tallow is infused with native Kawakawa (Macropiper excelsum) + spirulina powder. The blend is completed with skin-softening certified organic castor oil. Castor oil is naturally rich in ricinoleic acid, which provides deep conditioning and acts as a natural humectant to help skin attract and hold moisture.The butter is air-whipped to a smooth texture that melts on contact, allowing it to deeply condition and provide a protective layer for the skin.

The Kawakawa plant has a long history of use in Rongoā Māori for skin care.

To Use: Warm a small amount between your fingers and apply to dry skin, focusing on areas that require intensive moisture.

Introductory Offer: NZ$15.00 for our 30ml Amber Glass Jar, containing a net weight of 16g of whipped butter.
Each jar will be packaged into a cellulose bag with a complimentary mini spatula for hygienic, mess-free application.





Storage & Care for Your Whipped Butter
Because our whipped butter is made with only pure, natural fats (Tallow) and oils (Castor Oil), proper care will ensure you enjoy its freshness and fluffy texture for as long as possible.

Best Practice Storage:
 Keep it Cool: Store your amber jar in a cool, dark place—a bedroom cupboard or linen closet is ideal. Please avoid storing it in the bathroom, as heat and humidity can reduce the shelf life.

Handle with Care: As the jar is glass, please take care when using it around hard surfaces like tile or stone.

Temperature Alert
Tallow-based butters are heat-sensitive. If your product melts (which can happen at temperatures over approximately 24°C), the whipped texture will be lost. If this occurs, simply pop the closed jar into the fridge for an hour, and it will solidify without affecting the quality of the ingredients.
To proactively protect the whipped texture during warm weather (over 24°C), you may choose to store the jar in the refrigerator. The butter will firm up, but it will quickly soften and melt upon contact with your skin.

Keep it Dry
Always use clean, dry hands or a small spatula when scooping the butter. Introducing water or moisture into the jar is the number one cause of spoilage in these pure fat and oil formulations.

Shelf Life
When stored correctly, your butter should have a reliable shelf life of 12 months from the date of manufacture.
